Perhaps in October; happy to arrange if there is interest.
Regards,
BC

October would be a good choice: Nice warmish weather, I'm mostly in town, etc...:p

My suggestion would something like meet at the MacDonalds on the M4 - go the M7/M2 and up to the Bells Line of Road. Possibly a Sunday morning with a start around 8am?
If we get enthusiastic takers I will organise; if not, it will be just a good idea that never grew legs ..
Others may have different routes to suggest?
Regards,
Brian

I think it's a great idea. The main barrier for me will be timing. I have some international travel around oct, dates not finalised yet.

Probably in the next 4-6 weeks. It's closer than it looks. All the interior except for the rear headliner is in, and the bumper is all assembled and ready to be mounted. I am just waiting on some reproduction tail lights and an indicator a the old ones disintegrated.

Will then need a service, which I will do, then take it up to my mechanic as it has developed a decent LHM leak due to the crash. Probably a torn hose or boot somewhere.

In terms of the drive day we discussed, September would be good for me. Its a way off but my wife is taking the babies to see family for a few weeks so I have decent availability then.

As of this week the DS will be drivable. There will be a few things to do, but I'll be able to take it for a proper drive.

had a bit of help to get the wiring in the front end right. And I discovered a great tool. it's Called a Vgate PT150. You plug it in the battery and it can check for power or earth, and it can also inject power if you need it to, to test a component vs the wiring. I just got one on ebay for less than $100. beats the test light I was trying to use.

Basically the car still needs a service, front suspension boots and a few other minor adjustments (e.g. bonnet release cable routed properly etc)

My DS was back on the road but had a bad LHM leak and needed some bushings in the front end.

While this was done, the wobby camshaft pulley was replaced, aux fan added, air cleaner and some other panels powder coated.

What is left is the window regulators have been 'modified' by a previous owner so that is why I was unable to adjust the frameless windows properly after the painting. These will be fixed and then I can put the door cards back on.
