Default Detailing question

What is the best way to remove old polish from black plastic trim? I've tried Mothers Black Trim restorer with very limited success.
Regards,
Brian

When you say "old polish" how long has it been on the plastic? If not too long I would try WD40 or silicon spray.

I will try that Helmet - the polish has probably been there for up to 10 years; it's a second hand car.
