Default The Chrysler 300

A separate thread about 1hp per ci made me think about the the Chrysler 300C of 1957. A very impressive car for it's time...

With the optional 355 hp 354 cu.in engine, the 300B became the first American car to produce 1 horsepower per cubic inch, besting Chevrolet with their fuel-injected 283 cu in (4.6 L) by one year. There you go Michel Chev was not first .

Dunno what to tell you, but my books say otherwise.

I always admire the Chrysler since I saw the 48 Windsor no matter what under the bonnet but those pics remind me with the history of car making which was forgotten by young generation , I used a town & country in the us in 2010 and 2013 ,was impressed and thought it is just due to the partnership with Benz but now I recall that those people know what they are doing since early days too .

Regards
Tarek
