Default Greetings from somewhere above Asia

Cruising at Mach 0.83 at a height of 12,000 metres somewhere above India on my way from Dubai to Shanghai flying Emirates’ A380.

Thinking of everyone at Topklasse.
Here is a picture I took a little while ago.

The 380 is such a lovely plane - so nice to wander down to the bar for a night cap and a chat. So lovely and smooth like a flying carpet; much nicer than the horrid little things made by Mr Boeing. So kind of you to think of us Michel.
regards,
Brian

Cool Re: Greetings from somewhere above Asia

Interesting comparison Brain.... seems it is also so for Cars. Britain and France built the only Supersonic Passenger Plane, whereas the Americans gave up.Having flown in it twice ,it is a lasting memory, especially when climbing like a Jet Fighter on takeoff.

Quite correct Sean. The 380 flies through a storm and you barely feel it. The same in a Boeing Dreamliner and there is food all over the ceiling.
regards,
Brian

Travel safe Michel.

Yes,
The A380 is a one of a kind, and sadly no more production, nor will it ever be matched.

My wife and I were very lucky to have flown in one many times, under 3 great airlines.

The Rolls-Royce Trent made her an absolute magic carpet just as Brian states.
Amazing bit of kit, and what a match made in heaven, Trent & A380!

Thumbs up Re: Greetings from somewhere above Asia

P.S. I have been asked was there any sensation of speed as the Concorde went through the sound barrier .. well no, just a bump and then on to Mach 11 according to the Mach Meter in the bulkhead. Pity I did not keep the Tickets or the Menus as they fetch big money today.
Same with my Titanic Tickets from my hometown !!!
