Default MBCNSW Drive

There was a MBCNSW drive with the Rolls Royce club today. I went along and we made a big W126 line up.

Holy cow! Great line up; what models??

I’ve been noticing a trend when there’s lots of ppl asking how to get their cars running again after 5-10 years laid up & the usual fuel system nightmares.... It occurred to me that perhaps ppl are realising their worth & dragging them out of their barns! Combined with a recent Shannon’s article about collectibility I think their values are on the way up. A local 420SEL had a sticker price of $11K and I don’t think it was anything special. Then there’s this:

There were 5 420SELs, my 560SEL, a 300SEL and a gen 1 500SE that had been retrofitted with the update interior and smooth cladding panels.

I suspect that SEL has been priced like it has less than 100k on the clock, not almost 300.
