Thank you for your kind words, Michel. I haven't mentioned it thus far. but I can relate now that this engine is idling far smoother now. Absent is the tremor previously experienced at idle, although it is still not 100% perfect. I suspect that even when new, 6.9 engines would exhibit a slight tremor on idle.

Unless I am mistaken, I also tend to feel that acceleration is now quite a bit more brisk. Regards Styria

I know this is a very old thread, but has anyone tried the test rig that Kent Bergsma sells? Given the cost of injectors, $200USD seems better than just replacing them as a matter of course.

I found a video of a user in WA trying it, and it seemed ok although the video was quite short.

Apparently some have had success back flushing the kjet injectors presumably to clean out the internal non serviceable filter. However the process may still not be cost effective vs just buying new ones.

In fact I canít see how you could even do that based on the design of the nozzle!!!

Yes, the advantage of the tester is probably to know when you really need to replace them vs making the assumption.

As I would need 22 injectors, it would get quite expensive if I just replaced them all.

At least they are not as bad as D-Jet or M100 MFI injectors.

Initially, one could check injector/engine running characteristics by loosening one injector at a time on the fuel distributor with the engine running. If you want to go a bit further, use a slave fuel line, fit it to the fuel distributor and the injector that you must have removed, disconnect the switch lead at the side of the fuel distributor so that you have constant fuel pressure when turning on the ignition, and then push down the diaphragm that sits in front of the fuel distributor.

This will then enable you to observe the spray pattern, also if the injector drips, and then repeat the process for the other seven injectors. You'll probably spend three hours or so on this work, but at least you know how efficient your injectors are. Regards Styria

Wouldnít that flood the engine with fuel & risk a hydro lock?

Mark, that has not been my experience. It seems completely safe and, whatsmore, fool proof. Regards Styria
