Default Jay Leno Garage and others

1956 Maserati A6G Allemano - it is an absolute jewel of a car, beautifully and classically styled. Only a 2 litre engine, as compared with its later model bigger straight six and V8 engine brothers. The grille treatment, with its Trident badge, is typical of Maserati and is a styling feature even in vogue with the newest model. I wonder what it would be worth ?

Just one little thing - the dark brown binding for the carpets - for a restoration of such precision, the choice of carpet binding is paradoxical. Please enjoy the video. Regards Styria

Maserati 3500GTI - again, an absolute jewel. If I remember correctly, I have seen one many years ago parked in a warehouse belonging to a dyed in the wool, and well heeled, car collector. He had a Gullwing 300SL at the same warehouse.

I like this particular video, as Leno does go into some quite pertinent details about some of the difficulties experienced in the restoration process. One curious feature of this model Maserati relates to a solid leather strap slung under the axle housing to prevent the car from unduly leaning over when cornering. Pretty basic, and rudimentary engineering. Other than that, I think the styling is quite exclusive. Regards Styria

One of my favourite Maseratis.
Love the grille and the whole shape.

Lancia Fulvia Zagato

Let me throw another one at you - this little Lancia - just ever so beautiful and cleanly styled. A great little car, beautiful handler and open road speeds - quite mindblowing. An ex collegue of mine had the standard 1.6 litre Fulvia version - Surfers to Sydney in seven hours.

I know of a Canberra to Wollongong trip in 1 and a half hours. Before the lake George upgrades over what they used to call the razor back on Canberra side and Goulburn Marulan bypass was made.

Porsche 918 Spyder -although it reminds me a little of the "equivalent" Audi, I nevertheless think this is a beautifully styled motor car - especially the view from the back and, obviously, it's got the power and speed to go with its looks. A 'must' in the Archives of TK. Regards Styria

N.B.......and I do appreciate Leno's videos - talks lot of sense, right on the button and he picks the right cars and the right events to attend. He gets my blessings nowadays.

1952 Ferrari Barchetta -

again, unbelievably exquisite, and a glorious V12 engine - only Ferrari could build masterpieces of that description. Regards Styria

N.B. Both Leno and the owner (!) aptly describe this engine.

Nice; that is very sexy as a piece of engineering.

Lancia Aurelia V6

What does Leno say - the best Lancia ever built ? Its styling is certainly remarkable, its delightful styling with those small glorious touches - wonderful car. Furthermore, what an interesting rear transaxle layout although, and I say this with some rising eyebrows - inboard drum brakes, a feature more than likely to light up a mechanic's wallet. Nevertheless, just wonderful and Leno certainly provides appropriate and quite interesting commentary. Regards Styria

And a truly delightful car to drive; light in handling, direct in steering and nimble in all conditions.
