Default Perfect tyres for Styria

Hi Styria after searching far and wide I have located a supplier of the perfect 18 inch replacement tyres for Gleaming beauty. They will be a perfect match to your 2 tone paint work http://www.classicwhitewalltires.com/18inch

Hi Tarek that's probably true . They are not popular in Australia because of the distance you are allowed to travel on them . And you can find yourself 200km or more from next town in Australia. But seeing as Styria has shown his enthusiasm for white walls I thought I would find some for him.

Yes and those cars if they have a flat in Australia away from metropolitan areas could be waiting a long time for road service to tow them also large areas off Australia have little or no mobile phone coverage. I spent most off last year in such a place with limited internet as well.

Yes but that is the maximum recommended distance. Where I was last year was 240km from nearest place you could get new tyre. And that is nowhere near the most remote place in Australia Tarek.

Most still offer it as an option . But 90% off Australia's population is Metropolitan so unless they plan traveling between states its not a problem . It is a problem if you are Western Australia though .

Geoff my boy, you're a bit unlucky. Of all brands of tyres to choose, you had to pick on the Nitto brand. Look, I know I am blowing into the wind, but some almost fifty years ago, I bought a 1959 Mercedes 190 which was shod, and you're guessing right, with Nitto tyres. They were absolutely hopeless, dry or wet roads, and downright dangerous. I replaced them with the leading new Radial tyre at the time - the Olympic GT Radial. Those tyres transformed the handling of the car.

Somewhere on TK, during the last six months, I have mentioned this story and the handling of that little 190 became unbelievable. 60mph. around bends of the Comenarra Parkway, my proving track in those days. Jaguar, Rovers, Citroens, Mercedes et al, all were put through their paces. Also, a Citroen DS23 with five speed, solenoid released gearchange mechanism. Nice. nice car.

In closing, I am also looking at the Nitto prices quoted - about on a par, percentage and relativity wise, with the $US160K. Packard Ghia. My Nankangs I have bought for less than half the price of the Nittos. Regards Styria

Hi Styria I agree about Nitto tyres but go down page next wheels are Yokohama tyres . If that fails you could get your current tyres banded as there is company in Sydney that does white walling for you.
