Default Car industry trends towards SUV

I got this from the car industry analysis twitter feed. Stats are for USA but I think Australia would be similar, probably hatchback higher and pickup lower.

The move from sedans, wagons and people carriers to SUVs is stark.

Thumbs down Re: Car industry trends towards SUV

Interesting Bryce how the Market is shifting away from Regular Sedans.
Price wise it seems so I was quoted $37,000 for a new VW Caddy Van.!!
And for an immaculate 85,000 Ks Turbo C Class 2010 $8000 as a Trade in.

I would say Pickup in Australia would most certainly be higher . As 3 off the top 10 in sales last few years and 2 off those have been 1 and 2 are pickups in Australia

Itís hard to beat the practicality of an SUV for daily duties. On the weekends however, the special cars rule!

It's a simple equation

Sedans and Wagons have gone the SUV way, whilst Sport Cars (to an extend) have been replaced by Pick Ups, which have also replaced Sedan-based Utes.
