Default 6.9 vs. Turbo Diesel

With compliments from SEL 69L. Which of the two is the winner ? Find out yourself. I was very surprised, pleasantly so, at the sprint time - 7.1 secs. Regards Styria

Have seen this video on the Net before don't get wrong it is a great video.

As good as the S350 Diesel looks but seriously the 6.9 is still a superb looking car!

6.9 to quick for the Diesel no surprises their.

A car that hit the roads 40 years ago can still move a bit, if it is required to do so!

From time to time, Helmet, I get picked up by the Prince of Arabia in some hot 4 pot Turbos, and of course, when he puts his foot down (BTW, never drives any other way ), he sort of grins and reckons "you know, this'll show up a 6.9. Well, I can't argue with him, because I simply don't know.

What I do know is that if one really pushed a 6.9 hard, and foot flat on the floor, it is surprising just how rapid, if not blinding, acceleration can be. As I have said, 20kms., pull back to 1st, change manually to 2nd at about 80 kms, and hold up to 120 and boy - you know you're travelling.. It's only the first 30 from standstill, that takes a bit of time.

A five speeder would take care of all of that. Regards Styria

Speeding tickets for you both! Lol.

Sounds like fun to me and the only way to travel in the 6.9

Actually, a 3.01: diff can work a bit like a poor man's 5 speeder.
Certainly makes a 6.9 more pleasant to drive, with less torque converter slippage.
