Default British Motor Museums

I've been in Europe for the last week or so for work, and managed to have Saturday afternoon and Sunday free. I rented a car to go and see two motor museums. On saturday the beaulieu museum near the new forest and then the british motor museum in warwick. I will upload some photos in due course.

Both trips were excellent and well worth the visit. I have hundreds of photos as well as a video of a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost being started up.

In the meantime, I wrote a review of the Seat Ibiza 1.0 that I got as a rental. If you want the cliff notes it was boring and underpowered. But it did have a proper manual transmission instead of a CVT which was its saving grace.

First set I have uploaded is the Jaguar Heritage Collection.

After the old factory in browns lane was redeveloped the collection was somewhat scattered, but much of it is at the British Motor museum. There was a good mix of their famous model as a well as more recent prototypes.

Next one is the 1914 Rolls Royce 40/50 Continental 'Alpine Eagle'.

This is a video of the car being started up. It is quite an impressive machine.

For another day Bryce... the BMC/ British Layland and the National Motor Cycle Museums are well worth a visit. They are all just South of Birmingham on the A40 out of London. A bonus is the Aston Martin Plant next to BMC/ Layland.

I was able to see the BMC/Leyland one - photos coming soon!

In the meantime, here are the ones I took at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu
