I saw that when it was posted and I got a bit excited.
However, it has two things that make it unattractive:
The fact that itís just an ĎEightí and itís in the NT...

Odometer is in miles.
Being a Bentley 8 is OK. Driving it home from the NT would also be OK.
It has had a respray - the sills should be black. No pinstripe is highly unusual. There is also something else not quite right but I can't put my finger on it.
Make them an offer Michel.
regards,
Brian

And the eight is less than half an equivalent turbo R. Plus most Turbo Rís Iíve seen are painted in more subdued colours. Was the eight ever sold officially here or are they all imports like this car? There was another eight at Shannonís a few years ago. I think it was also an import.

As far a I know the Eight was sold here as a poor man's Turbo R with many less options and extras.
I nearly bought one at Shannons', but it went up in price.

I have seen some seriously 'bright' Turbo Rs in colour-coded red, blue, green and beige.
They do look stunning!

Painted mirrors are OK.
The 8 gave way to the Mulsanne but it was a confusing time at Crewe and no two cars are the same....one has to check the build sheets to know what should be there or excluded as the case may be Ö
A friend has a Turbo R in bright vermillion with matching interior - and it is a truly fabulous colour. Certainly not subtle. Not for the shy and retiring type like me with Dark Oyster.
regards,
Brian

This Japanese import Turbo R is also striking in dark metallic blue:

Still double the price of the eight.
I've always fancied the Turbo R from this era of Crewe

.....oh Patrick, that's a back hander. Now I am no longer interested in the car! However, Bentley 8, not withstanding, poor relation to Turbo "R" et all. that's a seriously competitively priced luxury car. Just think of it - $18K. Most people wouldn't know that it is "just" a simple Bentley 8. I'd have it if I was younger and had more of the folding stuff. Regards Styria

......and a higher mileage than the 8, with that horrible (well, I don't quite mean that) black "every Asian, every hatchback, every "other car" (just about) black upholstery. Give me "Cream", Caramel any time like on that red Bentley 8. Regards Styria

My five year old daughter has found he future car, in pink with a pink interior.

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...325065/?Cr=118

In all seriousness, it actually quite a nice XJ6 series 1. I've always been a fan of the series 1 XJ6, although i would prefer an XJ12 myself.

Its not a repaint, its a rare original colour (Heather)

In regards to the S600.

I really donít understand how people can expect to sell a car with almost zero information, and crap photos.

If you are going to the trouble of posting a car for sale, make an effort, make people really want to see it and drive it.

I saw a car a couple of weeks ago.
I thought it was worth $14-$15k.

The guy had $30k.

The photos were from a smart phone (Iím certain he does not know you can turn the phone sideways for landscape) and only showed the roof and 2 doors.
The photo of the front of the car showed 90% sky and just the roof and windscreen.

The description was even better.
ďGood conditionĒ
Not even a speedo reading.

A sad end to a W116.

https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/bent...why/1236939020

WHY???
Why would you stretch a six cylinder W116?
It would use almost twice the amount of fuel that a 450 would because you'd have to floor it everytime to get it to move.

It'd be a shame to see it go to the wreckers!
