I guess Parks knows how to do it but the old leather covers become so brittle that replacement of the covers only would be a hair raising experience - especially the head rests and arm rest which tear very easily.

The new leather is so nice but has become a more expensive exercise with the falling ozzie dollar.

It can be a delicate process thats for sure Bill, because one slip up and it becomes rather expensive for muah and a whole lot more time colour matching blah blah...
Ive replied to the mentioned post and he said he would keep me posted...regards Brent

Replacing the old covers with nice new leather is definetly the way to go. Parkes gets a great fit and finish, much better than having someone attempt to 'retrim' an old seat buy making templates from old covers on their workshop bench.

Another interesting idea... what about changing from the old spring base to a foam base? This should help to manintain the shape of the seat and give better support laterally when cornering.

Have you done this Parkes?

Hi Bar , no I havent done that but it would be difficult and unless you have HR foam it wouldnt last very long, but it would be better for cornering thats for sure.....regards Brent
