I'm currently thinking I might get a Superb wagon other than it being a Volkswagen anything I should concern myself with.

Good evening latest listings of Mercedes for sale on the Mercedes Club NSW website.

There is a TK Members 1996 S280 W140 for sale which is a truly superb car!

The S280 was here at my house just over six months ago and I have driven the car what a car!

Hi Patrick you are exactly right about the S280.

No room here at home for the W140 unfortunately and I know for a fact the car wonít fit down the driveway!

I have no doubt the S280 will sell and go to another good home.

That would be a fast and smooth vehicle.
Beautifully finished - in my opinion, one of the nicest, if not the, Mercedes Benz models you can buy. Patrick, how would this car compare with your Audi ? I know engine sizes are completely different, but otherwise......? Regards Styria

Itís a much bigger car Styria.
The Audi is on a Golf floorpan, so I would really like to try the bigger and bigger engined CLK for sure.

For CLK's, I am on a nearly impossible quest:
A 2009 CLK500, with the quad cam VVT M273 5.4 litre engine. (last year of the CLK's)
A pocket rocket, but not with some of the AMG extra expenses and harsher ride.

285kW, 530 Nm,
but not not quite as much power as the last of the Holden 6.2 litre V8's.
Nevertheless, even a modern vehicle with electric power, which develops maximum torque at zero revs, should be able to best it 0-30 km/hr.
That's to the other side of an intersection, where you are still well within any speed limit. That is where low end torque is most useful.

Here is the world's worst W126 ute conversion.
Even well done, I don't see the attraction, but this thing is an abomination.

Should have made an estate car out of it.
Crayford did that type of conversion.

There is even a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 11 lobbing around Sydney, rather nicely converted to a station wagon. I remember seeing it in Alexandria about 4 years ago.

Mercedes 300SE Coupe - it starts off brilliantly, but one needs to read further. I think it's Sales Talk extraordinary of a model that, as a rule, can be simply magnificent. This one isn't, but I will let you be the judge.

https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/maga...n-be-only-one/

I used to own the Sedan version - great family car, very reliable. I did find out that Air Bags have a life span of about five years. I had one blow in the carport of my home, and honestly I though that someone had tried to blow up the house. The air suspension worked brilliantly, but an original rear valve featuring a vulcanized rubber seal turned out to be unrepairable. Replacement cost of a new unit was about $6K. - for one valve. Food for thought. Regards Styria

I think it is a lovely car in a good colour with excellent service history.
I think the aftermarket wheel arch trims should be removed if they want to sell it for top dollar.

I think the price is a little bit high for the mileage, but not getting to the point of silly like classic throttle shop prices.
