Hi BenzBoy, just to clarify - you mention Signor Farina - should that be Pininfarina ? I am pretty sure that there was a designer by the name of Farina. Was he perhaps responsible for some BMC designs, such as the Wolseley 24/80, Austin Freeway ? (Does anyone remember them ?). Regards Styria

And here is the modern version of the Fulvia; alas, it has not yet made it into production - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jjivd...eature=related I am left with the unfortunate conclusion that although Benz has built some wonderful cars, it has never designed any that can be called pretty. So my questions are; was it a 6.3, or 6.9? Does it exist today, or were they all re-powered? What did the intake manifold look like?

Ron on the M100 site just found the Holy Grail! WOW check out the manifold and throttle... 275kW and 565Nm is pretty amazing from a 2V 6.3 aspirated engine way back then.
It also gives a wonderful insight into AMG when it first started... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pm5R...ature=youtu.be

Nah I reckon it's different. The 7.2 was flatter for hood clearance. Probably one-of-a-kind
