Default Finally............ my 6.9 has some history!!!

Finally....my 6.9 has some history to it!!

Call me eccentric, call me mad.....call me weird.......I don't care!!!!!

I needed a driver's side seat belt because mine was "buggered!"
I went to my local Merc mechanic/wrecker and took one off a W123, fitted it to mine and now it works perfectly.
(Of course I didn't buy it off him as that would be illegal, wouldn't it???...)

After I fitted it to mine he told me that that W123 originally belonged to Tommy Hanlon Jr. (He has all the papers showing that)
So now everytime I do up my seatbelt ....... well you know the rest...

(Shut up......I'm NOT strange...honest!!)

He was a BIG TV celebrity in the '50s, '60s and '70s.

Oh. I don't own TV - but I do have a turntable!!! And dogs, as you know.
And cars to feed...
Anyway, your car already has the history you have given it. What more does it need?

BenzBoy

Hi Bandy, haven't read up his details in Wikipaedia - is that how one spells it ? Anyway, didn't the man commit suicide by gassing himself in a W123?Wow, Bandy, some history ! Or possibly, I am getting him mixed up with Jimmy Hannan jr. - also a comedian and he definitely committed suicide to the consternation of every one that used to watch his TV shows on a regular basis. Regards Styria
