Default SEL 6.3 two door coupe.... does anyone know where it is now?

I have some interesting images that I had scanned off colour slides.

The first is of a Lamborghini Mirura in a rather used state. It hit a bridge parapet at about 90 MPH, sideways, not far from where the picture was taken in Manchester, in 1970. The driver survived, with serious injuries.

The second and third are of a Mercedes SEL 6.3 Pininfarina coupe, picture taken by myself, at the Earls Court Motor Show in 1970. As the image implies the car was built by Pininfarina, I suspect as a "one off ". The camera used was a Rollei 35 with a 2.8 Tessar lens (I still have it). The lighting conditions were a little trying, in rather low light with the camera hand held with long time exposure.

The green car in the background was an Austin Maxi which I purchased new. Why a Maxi? Because it had a camping body, which was driven for many thousands of kilometres, in the UK and throughout Europe with no accommodation costs. Refer to my ID info.

I will also have these images posted on the M100 site at a later date.

The side on shot of the 6.3 coupe looks so modern. Especially around the c-pillar, rear window and the angle of the trunk. Dare I say it but seeing that photo at a glance there's a hint of modern Bentley coupe about it.

Hi Ossie, I'd go one step further and categorically state that, side on, it could well be a 126 Coupe of the eighties.

The frontal treatment around the headlights is a little crude, but again still a hint of 126 about it.

SEL69L, thanks for posting these pics. - I wonder if that car is still about. Someone on the M100 site may know more about it. Fascinating. Regards Styria

Impressive yet nostalgic pictures with a respectable camera for those days (I worked at Foto Riesel Camera House for years and used to dable in cameras).

I simply don't like the Italian job.... nothing Teutonic left in the car...

As for the Lambo, it looks like a "2-storey" monster

The 'ole Davo finally found out a bit more about that Pininfarina 6.3.
After going into hibernation (the 6.3, that is), for more than three dacades, it has apparently emerged, and is now doing the motor show scene again.

Have look at the picture hereunder:
