Very nice indeed. U can see the appeal of a later car with user friendly bells n whistles. I bet she has a nice note too...

Hi Aussie 6.9, they are that sort of a car - you can drive them hard if need be, and when you get to your point of destination, that engine will still idle "contendedly" as if you had just started the car. I can't recall if you have the Aussie version, or the high compression "dirty" engine car, but the high compression engine is even more satisfying to drive. How did you go fuel consumption wise ? Years ago, on country trips and driving spiritedly (not stupidly), I'd get comfortably 19-20 mpg. In those days, of course, petrol was only half the price of what it is today, plus my income no longer supports everyday use of "Gleaming Beauty" at $1.70 per litre - half of that yes, but filling up would now set me back about $170.00 - decent money. Yesteryear, a tank of fuel would return close enough to 650 kilometres. Regards Styria

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply to your post. My car is Aus delivery and stock standard. Generally get around 16l per 100k or 17.6 mpg for normal driving. The reco front levelling valve you suplied is going fine and I wa thinking of getting a back one done from my parts car for future use. Are you still able to exchange one or reco mine? I was also thinking of getting seal kits for my spare struts to have them on hand for future use. Do you have any info on where to obtain the o rings etc for the struts or a repair shop that would do the job.
Regards Mark

I don’t think anyone’s made a seal kit for struts... yet. But some have measured the seals required and a full rebuild has been detailed on the web.
