This dealer is normally quite expensive, but this car is interesting and unique.
Where else are you going to find a manual 280E with a full leather interior and other options? Most manual W123 models you see are stripper models like 200's.

Headlights are wrong for a 280E, so it may have been in a minor front end prang.

The manual 280E has been for sale for a while now.

Rare to see to a manual 280E but 251,000kms for almost $17K?

Yes too expensive for my tastes and Iím not a fan of the colour, but this dealer always has very high prices listed. No idea if his stock acutually sells for the asking price. Very few cars sell for the asking price.

It does seem a desiresble w123 though with the manual trans, leather and high compression engine. All other w123 Iíve seen were mbtex or cloth.

There is a lot to be said for a yellow 123 wagon. Not sure about the price, but it is one of the nicer ones I've seen for a while.

My Parents use to have a 1979 300TD in the exact same colour!

Gents
I have seen this lovely 79 280E advertised a couple of times.
Great car for not a lot of money.

It looks like a nice car and one of the more desirable of the W123's. I think the reason why its been for sale so long is that the price is probably a little high for a car without working A/C but if the A/C was working you could raise the price a grand so.

Well, I agree with C107 regarding the dealer's price. He always aims for the sky. The car itself - nowadays, not sure about the leather upholstery, nor the manual transmission. Sure, might be rare, but MB transmission ratios for MBs probably have their origins in the '50s. At least, that's my experience with a 220SE Finnie and a 280SE 3.5 Coupe.

I really like the other two cars that Bryce posted about a bit more - especially the Wagon. Very nice. regards Styria

N.B. By the way, I spotted this Aston Martin Rapide - doesn't that name just saunter down your tongue ? http://www.alexhollandclassiccars.co...e-s-auto-my06/ Regards Styria
