Default Another 107 joins the stable

Bought this reasonably recently. Was part of a deceased estate. Former owner was a doctor, and had owned the car for at least the past 25 years. Car was an English import at some stage. Mileage is 114,000 miles and according to a note behind the speedometer, it was repaired in May 2000 when the mileage showed 1636 less miles than it had when I picked it up. Water pump had gone from sitting for so long, but former owner died (fell off the roof of his house) and his widow had the car taken out once a year for a roadworthy and renewed the registration for the past 5 years. Has some other issues such as hard starting but a new set of injectors and seals will go in shortly, and replacement of fuel filter and screen. I drove it to Oberon this past weekend without issue so it is at least reliable.

Photos were taken the night I picked it up in its garage condition and after it had a wash the same night.

Looks to be a pleasant enough car in these pictures.
Needs to be kept out of the weather to avoid upholstery and paint degradation.

Looks like a nice SLC Craig. Any rust underneath? How is the interior?

Well done mate.

Nice shape.

Will this one remain in Sydney or Brisbane?

Interior is in very good shape. Has the original Becker Mexico, wood is all good, dash is not cracked, and the central locking works perfectly.

Small amount of rust around the right front jacking hole, which is pretty typical, but nothing in all the usual places.

And as usual, you got it at a bargain price

Well done on the purchase Craig.

Happy motoring Craig.

Sounds like a great buy. How does it compare with your other SLC? If i recall, that one is also in great shape.

In general, the other one needs a bit more work, but it is in great shape. I recently changed the rear bumper as it had always had a ding in it when the previous owner backed into a pole, but I picked up a centre section free, and had the support bar panel beated free, so it cost me about $64 to repair for 2 rattle cans and some screws. The comparison between D-Jet and K-Jet is interesting. I think I prefer the D-Jet - even though they can be more troublesome with the trigger points and lack of availability of injectors. It also seems more powerful, but that could be because I haven't touched the timing and injectors on the K-Jet yet.
