Re: Car of the week

There is a lot to be said for a yellow 123 wagon. Not sure about the price, but it is one of the nicer ones I've seen for a while.

Re: C107's C107

Cheers! That would be great.

It would have been a big step up from a w114 coupe to a brand new SLC.

Re: Patrick”s 560SEL

I think so. My dad had a few new ones during this period, and they all came with fire extinguishers. This included an 84 230E, 86 230E, 87 230TE. I also had a 85 230E that still had its...

Re: C107's C107

Wow what a small world!
I plan to bring the car to the get together in Feb, so if you're able to make it you'll see it then.

I would be very interested in any stories from when it was new. I...

Re: Testing K-Jet Injectors

I know this is a very old thread, but has anyone tried the test rig that Kent Bergsma sells? Given the cost of injectors, $200USD seems better than just replacing them as a matter of course.

Re: C107's C107

I had noticed some broken vacuum lines last time I was doing work on the car, so yesterday I had a quick look.

The vacuum retard lines had been previously disconnected, but were left all broken....

C107's C107

I've never really posted a thread specifically on the car that brought me to this forum, my 450SLC.

I purchased the car in 2003. At the time I was weighing up between a 280SE 3.5 and a 450SLC. ...

Re: Run Flat stupidity

My Brother is moving from Sydney to Perth. Instead of trailering the car, he decided to drive it over. From what I hear its been a good drive. He owns an E63 BMW. Like many BMW's of the era, it...

Re: Spare parts?

They might not have key parts available, but they are able to fulfil all needs for a nodding dog.

Re: 560SEL Barn find in Italy

Interesting, my 88 didn't have it, but my 89 did.

My 89 was 446528 and my 88 392788, so I assume the change happened between those two numbers.

I don't know if anyone from here watches Hoovies Garage on youtube, but he purchased one of these and then had to get a new set of wheels to get tyres. I think he purchased used wheels from another...

Re: A strange phone call ...

I understand we are getting a W167 later this year. I wonder what it will have with regard to a spare. I am assuming it is no longer sharing with a Jeep model.

Re: Waymo's boss's view on autonomous cars

Did you have the problem of people cutting in front of you with the adaptive cruise control?

A few years ago I drove a car with an earlier version of this and it wanted to keep such a massive...

Re: A strange phone call ...

That is actually pretty good they are ringing you on this. You would have thought this would be a pretty easy thing to fix though, just specify the option code. I can't imagine they can be...

Re: 560SEL Barn find in Italy

yes I would be interested to see the option list. I can;'t see the ortho seat controls near the seatbelts, so don't think it has those. The angle of the photos means I also can't tell if it has...

It’s even got the ultra rare trip computer. This person must have ticked every option.

I like the colour too.

Re: Motorsport in NSW, track days, clubs, etc
