Re: Latest Caddy

The styling is probably fairly typical of Caddys over the last few years. Interesting that it should be left hand drive - obviously not a car meant to be driven locally. Styling wise - hmm...

Re: The Rover P5/P5B

Again Bryce, look at the front and rear guard clearances of this V8 model. It is one of the less desirable features of the V8 model - "Dancing" of the suspension on uneven or broken bitumen. Mind you...

Re: The Rover P5/P5B

Another magnificent P5B spotted on Facebook. This one has the very rare rear headrests, but I also note the different colour piping on part of upholstery that can be seen. Pity there are no pictures...

Re: Car of the week

Does anyone know the location of the Dutton Garage ? I must admit to never heard of it. Also, anyone know the price ? It must be "sky high" given the comment by C107.

The car itself ? Well, the...

Re: Hybrids

Sean, I really think that you will like your new Camry. I have seen pics of it, and it really looks absolutely smashing, and being Japanese built, quality will not, or should never, be an issue. Are...

Re: good used Cars

I think the secret is choosing the right brand in the first place. It is probably fair to say that most brands will lose about 45% of their purchase price over a three year period. One should also...

Re: 6.9 Transmission Upgrade

Hi Bryce, yes it is. I have always found ever so much, or perhaps so little, of a difference between the high and low compression engines. Seat of the pants and ears demonstrate an aural difference,...

Re: 6.9 Transmission Upgrade

SEL 69L (David Rollason) had a 450 differential fitted to his 6.9 that he sold some while back. He did this on the advice of a friend of his, and obviously I did have opportunities to drive his car....

Re: The Rover P5/P5B

Here is another UK car that has taken my eye. I must admit to never having seen this colour before (I am talking about the RED) and it is remarkable just how so many duo tone combinations suit the...

Re: The Rover P5/P5B

Whatever it is, very difficult to improve on the looks of this particular V8 Coupe - timeless styling, very similar in scope to a '60s Mercedes Coupe.

Re: The Rover P5/P5B

Hi Bryce, I had spotted this car on Facebook, and was going to feature it in this thread. Well, you have done it for me, and I certainly appreciate your help. When I first spotted the details of this...

Re: The Derby Bentley

The dash and switchgear are simply "classic" and breathtaking in their detail. Maybe this is a little "over the top" restoration where the restorer is attempting to improve on the original ? In my...

Re: Rock 'N' Blues Concert and Car Show

I think this "BHW" occupies a rather special place among the TK fraternity. I really appreciate the pictorial coverage displayed in the thread, as it takes time and dedication to transfer from...

Re: 6.9 Transmission Upgrade

I have looked at this thread in detail again, but am not sure where it is leading to. There is no doubt that, for faster acceleration from standstill, plus lower revolutions in top gear for more...

Re: Car of the week

I find the text accompanying the photos like chocolate that's been sitting in a hot car, with sour cream mixed with hot Spanish salami  surely you can't get a better knock back than that as...

......especially, seeing that your better half drives the car. No sorry, I take that back as I realize now that you are not talking about your wife's car. Bryce, with the 300SE, has the car turned...

Re: Car of the week

To my eyes, that 450 certainly seems to be in top notch condition, and it is heartening to see this model sell so quickly and, possibly, at the advertised price. I did in fact call in to the Oldtimer...

Re: 450SEL 6.9 will it start?

Well it did start, but that's about all. One ought to save the mechanicals such as engine, gearbox and diff., and possibly some of the suspension components. TJ 450 in WA certainly appears to be the...
