Re: Car of the week

Car looks nice but I don't get the attraction of paying more because it was previously celebrity owned.

Re: 10-Speed Transmission

There has to be a diminishing return for each gear added.

e.g. the difference between a 2 speed and a 3 speed is immense, between 3-4 is huge, 4-5 big, etc etc.

Re: Car of the week

I think this is the wrong URL, points to an old TK thread about 6.9 suspension.

Re: The Rover P5/P5B

This P5 is for sale in WA. It is in white which personally I find a poor colour for the P5, but it is in nice condition.

Re: Car of the week

My Brother is selling his 280CE. I used to own this car and I think he is asking a reasonable price for it. It recently had a rebuilt steering box put in, and when I had it I did the water pump...

Re: In the parts bin

Re: W116 280s engine options

Not sure, but the W126 unit looks smaller, so not sure if they are interchangable.

On the self levelling, the new motor will have a pump coming off one of the cams. When people de-activate the...

Re: W116 280s engine options

Good you have the whole car as you'll need some of the wiring for the CIS fuel injection in the 82 to put in the 280S. The CIS manuals are on this website. There will also be some misc parts you...

Wink Re: W116 280s engine options

If it were my car I would be looking for a 280SE engine which will bolt right in and is much better than the carby engine. You can pick up a whole rusty 280SE for not much money.

If you’re...

Re: Hydropneumatic Gas Cell Package

You could probably adapt the citroen ones that are widely available, inexpensive and come in various pressures to suit the different models over the years.

Re: Gen 4 toyota Hybrid

Toyota have always been one of the best for this. Kudos for them for doing it. Also shows that the minor weight penalty is insignificant and with their advanced hybrid technology (which they are...

Re: The Rover P5/P5B

I'm a big fan of the exterior look, the midnight blue colour looks great on the P5B. Not such a fan of the piping in the interior though.
