Re: Dora 2

My understanding is that all W126 run on the same number series, so if the VIN Is not available on one of the russian vin decoder sides, you should be able to get a rough idea of when it was built by...

I am in the USA for work and had a free day to go to this show. What an amazing collection of cars:

Re: Car of the week

The 107's moved to this style of wheel in 1979, and I think the W116 did too.
At least on the surface looks like a decent 6.9

Re: 10-Speed Transmission

There has to be a diminishing return for each gear added.

e.g. the difference between a 2 speed and a 3 speed is immense, between 3-4 is huge, 4-5 big, etc etc.

Re: The Rover P5/P5B

This P5 is for sale in WA. It is in white which personally I find a poor colour for the P5, but it is in nice condition.

Re: Car of the week

My Brother is selling his 280CE. I used to own this car and I think he is asking a reasonable price for it. It recently had a rebuilt steering box put in, and when I had it I did the water pump...

Have you seen these transmission controllers?

Re: In the parts bin

I'm not sure how well those headlights work on this thing. They look tiny on this enormous beast. Not sure if the 600 was being made when this was commissioned, but the 600 parts bin would be...

Re: W116 280s engine options

Not sure, but the W126 unit looks smaller, so not sure if they are interchangable.

On the self levelling, the new motor will have a pump coming off one of the cams. When people de-activate the...

Re: W116 280s engine options

Good you have the whole car as you'll need some of the wiring for the CIS fuel injection in the 82 to put in the 280S. The CIS manuals are on this website. There will also be some misc parts you...

Wink Re: W116 280s engine options

If you’re...
