Shell Caltex & BP 98 are all OK. Cleaning agents have been added to premium fuels for about 10 years so far.

Years ago, I...

Re: Mobile Pairing

I had my cheap little hatchback (Hyundai i20), paired with my mobile 'phone, about 2 years ago. The process took about 3 minutes to complete.
Has been working perfectly ever since.

When it comes...

Re: Mercedes Stops Development...

If such a problem exists as a result of soft metal used for the sprocket wheel,
AND
the car has not been serviced every six months from new,
THEN
wear can be detected in the camshaft lobes.

IF...

Re: Mercedes Stops Development...

The problem with the quad cam V8 M273 engine and the V6 M272 engine was that the sprocket wheel that drives the timing chains wears out prematurely.
This allows the distribution of fine metal...

Re: Mercedes Stops Development...

I guess the Daimler Benz has been forced to take the commercial risk.
Toyota may well come out on top for reliability and reputation over the long term. Like DB, they have the capability to pour a...

One of the worst enemies of any dam is silting.
It is essential that inner catchment areas of any dam are forested.

Trees are the best way...

Re: Tamworth Drought

The anxiousness at last, is very slowly sinking into the consciousness of Sydney dwellers.

Re: Run flat madness

Beyond me as to why Bentley would want to fit NON tires and wheels.

Re: Australian Classic Car Mag 12/2013

The 6.9 hasn't got the racing heritage of the GTHO.
That is why they bring much less at public auction.

I would much prefer to drive long distance in a 6.9.
That is what they were designed for....

Re: 5 best Mercedes investment cars

There will always be some sort of debate on this sort of subject.
I am a bit more pragmatic.
The best Mercedes would be the most reliable over the decades.
How about a W123 saloon, with the M116...

I was never a dog owner, so we...

Re: Keeping contact

You need Bobo around, just to give a boost to your spirits, for both of you.
Give him support, and as dogs always do, he will love you back.
He will be the omen for the whole lot to be on the mend.

Re: Mercedes fined for Diesel gate

The issues surrounding 'diesel gate' are not immediately life threatening as with a plane crash.

There is nothing fundamentally basic in what I wrote, and what I have read in your linked report, that is in disagreement.

Re: Mercedes fined for Diesel gate

The problem of the 737 Max was caused by the engines.
Er, not the engines exactly.
To make them more efficient they have a larger front intake fan. That is where most of the extra thrust comes...

Re: Mercedes fined for Diesel gate

I really don't think that owning a 6.9 or a hybrid or an electric makes all that much difference.
