Re: M117 Burnout

Never doubted an M117 could do it. A M110 on the other hand.. or as I like to call it, Traction Control built into the engine :D

Re: Engine Ideas for a W114

Thanks Styria!

I have thought about it and to be honest at some point I probably would like a nice W124 or W126 of my own.

I suppose at the moment though, I'd feel guilty buying yet another...

Re: Engine Ideas for a W114

:D

Slightly off-topic but I've also heard of people putting in rotary engines in these old Benzes. That can't be fun when not on boost

Re: Engine Ideas for a W114

I thought about it, but thought my thinking was already sacrilegious enough :o:D Then again, it can't be worse than putting a Rice Burner in a Merc.

I didn't realise those Holden V6s were so cheap...

Re: Engine Ideas for a W114

Not a bad suggestion. V8, efficient enough for what it is and KE-Jetronic.

I guess if I went that route I'd want to make sure it's not the early ones with the timing chain troubles (though by now...

Engine Ideas for a W114

Hi all,

Haven't posted much lately (shock horror), though I have been lurking a bit.

Anyway, at the risk of being run off the forum , I'm suddenly a bit bored and I've been toying with...

Re: 4x4 W116

That thing is evil :o

I mean good work to whoever went to such effort, but ugh...

I just don't get it :)

Wow, I have to admit, the W116 has a sweet-as shape for this look.

Re: Worsening Oil Pressure - How much danger am I in?

Gee, I thought I'd have updated this weeks ago :o

Anyway, I did end up doing an oil and filter change. And what a difference! The 230 has max oil pressure even idling under load :D

The old...

Re: An old W114 280 in need of some good ol' TLC

On the coupling - would it be sufficient to just replace the bushes themselves or should I do the whole coupling assembly?

I can find either one online, although seemingly only from the United...

Re: An old W114 280 in need of some good ol' TLC

I'll hopefully be getting the bolts for the steering box for this old girl this weekend. As far as I can tell it's only the two top most (longest) bolts that are broken. The one down lower towards...

Re: Ineffective Air Cleaners

Re: Ineffective Air Cleaners

He reckoned he could feel the difference in response and performance. Obviously you won't be gaining a heap of...
