Re: LED Headlight Bulbs

I'm not sure how the different resistances/current draws affect the Canbus systems but will comment on the increased brightness of a 150 watt LED high bay light over the old tulip 400 watt bulb type....

Re: Windscreen Glass

Good advice BenzBoy, as soon as I tackled the relevant assessors head on and demanded a different assessor be assigned to my claim(s) the outcome shifted to my benefit. The claim for the paint damage...

Re: Windscreen Glass

Shannons have changed, significantly, and not for the better. They are now owned by Suncorp and are very quick to revert to the fine print. While it's true you have choice of repairer the assessors...

Re: Distributer for early 280SE d-jetronic version

Hi Jim,
Pertronix make a kit to do just that, it all fits in place of the points and you can use the original coil. There is no external unit like the crane system.
I fitted one to my 6.3 in 2006...

Re: Car of the week

So much want for the SAAB, and it's so close to me. Now how to make it a legit instant write off?
My Mum bought her first SAAB in 1983, a 5 door 900 GL. I've always liked them. She had 3 or 4 of...

Re: Will never buy a W107

M100's are incredibly reliable, it's the suspension systems and comfort hydraulics in the chassis they are installed in that are troublesome.

Re: Car of the week

Ours are 12 and 14 so the legroom and long wheelbase keeps them further away :D

Re: Car of the week

I do recall that, but couldn't recall the year change, as well as the change to the M273 Engine.
It was my excuse to myself to go for a S Class. Having driven both Dad's W212 and my W220 I still...

Re: Car of the week

The SBC problems turned me off the E Class platform. If MB extended the 25 year warranty offered in the States to Oz I'd be all over a CLS55. I've driven a CL55 and they are scary fast.

Re: Car of the week

That's just lovely, I much prefer 600's in light colours rather than the so common black. A 906 grey Blue with palomino velour :)
