Michel's Trip

I will be leaving this afternoon on a 30-day trip that will take me to Europe and the Middle-East mainly for work.

I have been promised a tour of the Ferrari factory and the possibility of a few laps around Fiorano.

I will keep you all posted and hope to be able to load some pics as well.

Au revoir....;)

Yes please. Man you go to some cool places.

I'm going to save my pennies then one day you can take a few of us on one of your junkets under the guise of being your employees.

Enjoy, Michel! If you can sneak a spare Daytona out in your hand luggage I'd be much obliged.

I have a bit of an idea as to the various places Michel is going to, and it is an absolutely exciting itinary. Frankfurt, Milan, Modena, Padua, Berlin, Paris, Madrid and sections of the Middle East - qiuite fabulous. He doesn't need me to tell him to have a good time, because I know he will.

I also believe that he is on a promise to provide us with heaps of pics of the various places he plans to visit. I can hardly wait. Regards Styria

Godfather....

You are almost right..
Except for Paris and Madrid which I'll miss this time, you can add Bologna.

We left Milan on Tuesday and drove (a new Alfa Romeo MITO) to Bologna,

As I type now, I am about to go out of my hotel and onto Autopromotec (trade fair) in Bologna.

Pictures soon

Re: Michel's Trip

;) Hi Michel, the addition of Paris and Madrid sounded just right - sometimes one can be forgiven for stretching the truth. Hope you're having a great time - give my regards to Austria as you fly over it - the heart and jewel of Europe ! My totally biassed opinion anyway. Mind you, Bavaria , or sections of it near Austria, are just simply superb. Regards SDtyria

Enjoy - a beautiful area of Italy once you get away from the Industrial cities.

Leave some of Europe for me as I'm doing the Amsterdam to Budapest River trip with a holiday in Vienna during July so long as my Wife's Health holds up.

Bill

Unfortunately will probably not get to Stuttgart this trip.

Budapest is a most beautiful city Bill - I hope you have the chance to stay a while and enjoy it. If I could live anywhere of my own choosing, Budapest would be high on the ladder. Dine at Cafe Calais beside the Opera house, eat icecreams down on the river bank in the evening, go to outrageously excellent concerts in the little churches, visit the large food market and try the underground rail for a sight of grand little stations - shop on Andrassy Ut and do try the medicinal baths for a little time out. I hope your wife stay well.
Regards,
Benz-Boy

Re: Michel's Trip

This has been (so far) quite a 'full on' trip.

One day in Milano (picking up a new Alfa Mito) and then driving to Bologna for the Autopromotec trade fair for four days and then a side trip to Padova and then two days in Venice (AMAZING place) and today in Maranello for a visit to the Ferrari factory

Will keep you posted.

Arrivederci...:p

Some more pics

My drive courtesy of Ateco Automotive in Australia:
An Alfa Romeo MITO, not yet released in Australia (July09).
Quite a clever design and mechanicals based only on a 1.4 litre engine with outputs form 80 horses to nearly 200!

This one was quite zippy and on diesel.
