For some time now, I have given consideration to establish a discussion board for devotees and enthusiasts of both the W116 and W107 models, both of which have represented milestones in the history of Daimler Benz by the success and following they have attained since their introduction. The W107 range in particular remained largely unchanged for almost twenty years, which bears ample testimony to the quality of design and and intrinsic and timeless beauty of styling.

 

 

On the other hand, whilst the W116 range may be the “forgotten and unloved” model in the Classic Car movement, for those that own one, whether it be  a 280 or 6.9, there is a strong band of enthusiasts that appreciate the quality that went into the manufacturing process that has stood the test of time.

 

 

The aim of this site is very simple - the establishment of camaraderie, courtesy and consideration for each other, and the exchange of meaningful and helpful information that will help each of us to make ownership more rewarding and affordable.
